The next Apple event, after some initial uncertainty, has finally been set: the day when the whole world will be able to learn about the new smartphones and tablets from Cupertino is March 21st.
In less than a week, with the arrival of spring, we will also see the flood of new products that typically characterize the highly anticipated Apple events. Specifically, what we already know is that the iPhone SE, a compact version of the iPhone combining design elements from the 5 series and components from the 6, and a smaller iPad Pro, similar in size to the current Air, will be showcased.
However, some smartphone accessory manufacturers have already started advertising new cases for the iPhone SE, inadvertently revealing the shape of the new Apple product. Looking at the images of the cases and prototypes, the iPhone SE will have a design almost identical to the 5S, but with a curved glass front panel like the iPhone 6. The volume buttons will be round, the power button will be located at the top of the device, and the flash will be pill-shaped.
Will these images be real? We don’t know, and to find out, we have to wait a few more days.
What we don’t know, but might expect, is that the globally broadcast stage will also be used by Apple to share ideas and reflections on its stance on privacy. The day after the event, Apple is set to appear in court to justify its opposition to the FBI’s requests in the well-known case of the San Bernardino attackers’ smartphone.
What will happen? Let us loop you in!
