Hello Moto!
Motorola, already owned by Lenovo since 2014, may no longer be seen on the market, but it will not disappear from memory.
The Chinese company has clarified that it will continue to be the engine of the group’s smartphone design, development, and production, but from a marketing perspective, the new Moto will be exclusively associated with Lenovo.
Defined by Motorola itself as the end of a chapter, here’s why we will never forget it;
# 1930. The Galvin Manufactoring Corporation, founded in 1928, launched the car radio and, thanks to its popularity in the automotive sector, decided to change its name to Motorola (“Sound in motion”).
# 1940. Motorola launched the first Walkie-Talkie, the Handie-Talkie SCR536, which played a crucial role in World War II.
# 1969. The first word from the Moon was transmitted by a Motorola transceiver.
# 1973. Motorola prepared the DynaTac prototype, which was commercialized 11 years later. It was made of plastic and weighed almost a kilogram.
# 1989. The MicroTAC, one of the first flip phones, was very popular throughout the 1990s. Motorola was the only company to produce such a small and portable phone. Ten years later, thanks to the Timeport, tourists and travelers could, for the first time, move around and continue using the same phone while crossing continents.
# 2000s. Before the smartphone revolution, the Moto RAZR V3 achieved enormous success. With its very thin profile and metal casing, it was one of the most stylish and aesthetically impactful phones.
