For all those who have now switched to an electronic calendar, a feature you’ll love is coming; you schedule the activities you’d like to do, and Google Calendar finds the free time for you.
If you have deleted apps that help you pursue your goals, with notifications reminding you to drink a glass of water or do your daily workout, this feature is probably not for you. If, on the other hand, having a reminder of everything you should or would like to do is what you need, Google has a gift for you.
The new Google Calendar feature is called Goals; you just need to set your personal missions, the time you would like to dedicate to each activity, and the weekly frequency, and the system will automatically check which time slot in your schedule to program it, based on your fixed commitments.
Whether it’s a physical workout, time to dedicate to reading, studying a musical instrument, or another language, Calendar will fit it into your weekly schedule. Last-minute unforeseen event that coincides with the provided solution? No problem, once entered, Google Calendar will reschedule its arrangement of goals.
Goals, the original name of this feature, will be introduced within the Calendar App on all Android and iOS devices.
To use it, simply press the “+” button located at the bottom right of the interface, where the Goals option will appear. From here, you will need to choose a category of activity from those proposed, the frequency, the duration, and the preferred time slot; Google Calendar will take care of the rest.
Not only can you manually move or postpone the commitment, but the system will also learn the user’s habits over time, scheduling activities at the most suitable times of the day.
