After Google+ and Hangouts, the tech giant Google returns to the market with the launch of the new instant messaging app: Google Allo.
What is it about?

Simple! In competition with WhatsApp, Telegram, and Messenger, the creators of Google Allo propose a new kind of smart messaging for Android and iOS.

In addition to the creative chat enriched with emojis, stickers designed by independent artists and studios from around the world, doodles, and photos to scribble on, there will be some truly innovative features: the Google Assistant, its “smart replies,” and disappearing chats.

What is Google Assistant? Easy! Your new best friend with artificial intelligence!

It’s a virtual assistant that you can chat with and ask questions about anything. The activation is simple: just open the app, start a new conversation, and choose “Google Assistant” from your contact list. From that moment, it will quickly learn your writing and conversational style and will be able to suggest not only the best restaurant in the area but also phrases and emojis tailored to your conversations. It is currently available only in English, but it will also appear in group chats by typing “@google.”

In addition to this particular novelty, managing chats with Google Allo becomes even easier: you can activate incognito mode, and conversations will be protected by an end-to-end encryption system, preventing external access to the content. You can also control the message lifespan with expiring chats.

Despite the positive launch and the success it has garnered, Google Allo has been discouraged by American technologist Edward Snowden—former CIA technician—because everything users exchange with their contacts will remain in Google’s memory, jeopardizing privacy, and will be available to the police upon request…
