The battle between communication platforms continues; this time, Skype has made the move.
In light of leaked information about WhatsApp potentially expanding to video calls, the giant may have thought it needed to offer something more.
In addition to its share button and the ability to join without signing up, to celebrate ten years of success on the web, Skype has introduced the ability to make mobile video calls inviting up to 24 friends.
The Skype app has been around for six years, but with group video calls, it can finally make a huge leap in quality, allowing people to stay in touch at any time without having to schedule appointments to ensure everyone is at home or in front of a PC with an internet connection.
This significant change will be available in the coming weeks through a new update on iOS, Android, and Windows 10 Mobile. However, those who are impatient and want to get their hands on the latest version of Skype can download it directly from the website.
Staying in touch with friends and family will now be even easier.
